Riley Etheridge Jr. is a New York City based singer/songwriter with deep roots in Americana music. He grew up in a musical family in Columbia, S.C., and spent 20 years performing and recording in the musical gumbo of South Louisiana. After a long hiatus, his recent move to New York has inspired a collection of original material entitled "Things I Used to Know”. The album, to be released in January of 2010, represents a reunion of all-star South Louisiana musicians and friends who have played and recorded together for over 25 years. The rhythm section includes Baton Rouge bassist David Ellis, Guitarist Shane Theriot (Neville Brothers/Boz Scaggs) drummer Doug Belote (Jerry Douglas/Sonny Landreth) and New Orleans jazz pianist and composer Larry Sieberth. In Nashville, Louisiana native and producer Wendell Tilley enlisted Americana/country rock legends Dan Dugmore (James Taylor/Linda Ronstadt) and Mickey Rapheal (Willie Nelson) to add their distinctive contributions along with Wendell's own guitar playing. The band is scheduled for a series of appearances throughout the United States beginning in January 2010.
